ReEnrollment has begun! We’ve launched the reenrollment process for the 2022-2023 academic year. You should have gotten an email about it today (Feb. 25). Once you’ve re enrolled, your child(ren)’s spots in the class is saved for next year. Please remember that we’re forming waiting lists for many grades. Interest in SJA is growing and we want to prioritize our current families over new families for next year. To save your child’s spot, please reenroll no later than Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Now, here’s what’s going on at SJA! Our Annual Gala will be on May 7, 2022. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps to support all of our activities here at SJA. Please consider procuring and/or donating items to be raffled or auctioned off to support our students’ education. All such donations are tax-deductible. Click here for more info. Our annual Jog-a-thon sports fundraiser is on April 7th. We’ll be sending out the details next week. Please invite your students’ grandparents to o u r annual Grandparents Day celebration (April 29, 2022, starting at 8:15am). Grandparents will get a glimpse into the school their grandchildren attend and will get to see student work and performances. We’re bringing back the Daddy/Daughter Dance this year! It will be on April 30th. More details will be sent out in the coming weeks. It will be hosted by the High School ASB and all elementary and middle school girls and their dads are invited. Our WASC Accreditation (roughly, every six years) is coming up this year, so we may reach out to some parents and students to give WASC their input. They’ll conduct their campus visit from May 2 through May 4. Leading up to our patron’s feast day as well as the High School pilgrimage to Fatima, I invite all families to pray the novena to St. Joseph for our students, especially for a fruitful pilgrimage for our high school students. Our 11th grade students recently took the Classical Learning Test , and averaged 73 out of 120, 9 points above the national average! The top score was 107. Congratulations Juniors!

Dear SJA Families, I want to give a quick update on the 2021 SJA Raffle. Encourage your students to sell those raffle tickets, but parents can sell tickets too! You can reach out to family, friends, and coworkers who want to win $10,000 . Everyone wants to win! What’s more is that everyone who enters for a chance to win the $10,000 grand prize is also providing the tinder for a continuous fire SJA teachers are lighting in the hearts of our kids. This fire burns not just for love of God and traditional Catholicism , but also for love of our country and the whole tradition of western civilization. Our goal this year is to beat last year’s record of 4,503 tickets . If each family sells just 30 tickets, we’ll well surpass this goal. But don’t stop at 30 tickets! See what you can do to win one of our cash prizes for selling the most tickets! The top student seller wins a lunch with two friends, their favorite teacher, and me! We’ve got other prizes for early sellers and top sellers too so check those out. The more tickets you sell also increases your chances at winning a free tuition for next year! Each family is committed to selling or buying at least $300 worth of tickets, if you turn that much in by October 6, your students will receive a free dress pass! Right now, we’re only at 354 tickets , so we have a lot of ground to cover before October 23. Finally, I want to make sure you all know that you’re invited to our live, in-person raffle drawing. We’re going to have a big community celebration for all our parents, and if you have any big-ticket buyers, please do feel free to invite them. Since we have so many families this year (praise God SJA has grown to record enrollment numbers), we’re going to need to make some special preparations that require a headcount. I urge you to join us on the evening of October 23rd, but you do not need to be present to win. Click here to RSVP , by this Friday, October 1. If you need to change your RSVP later, that’s okay. We just want to be able to plan this exciting evening. Thank you so much for your support, sell those tickets, and be bold a nd keep the faith! Luke Heintschel Headmaster Saint Joseph Academy

Happy feast of St. Philip Benizi ! Today’s orientation schedule is below: Transitional Kindergarten ( TK ) and Kindergarten ( K ) — 9:00am-11:00am . Feel free to come drop by any time in that window. The goal is for parents and their students to meet the teacher, get acquainted with the classroom, and get the student's desk set up. High School Orientation — 10:00am-12:00pm . Please arrive on time , as we want to get started promptly at 10:00am. The high school orientation is just for students, not for parents. Tomorrow is the first day of school! Please see the map below for how the flow of traffic should work during drop off and dismissal during the school year. If you don’t already have your family carpool number , please pick it up at the front office (ideally before tomorrow). If you haven’t already signed and returned the Handbook Signature Page and the Mask Policy and Release , please do so before school starts. They can be found below. Both are mandatory for all families in order to start school. They can also be turned in to your student’s homeroom or first period teacher tomorrow morning. Thank you to all who came and joined us for the family picnic last night! It was a fun time for all. I’m very grateful also that we had a generous sponsor who made that event possible: a team of alumni! Graduates Benedict Kerekes and Clare De La Torre work in real estate and offered their own time, talent, and treasure to make this event possible. In addition, they donate 10% of their sales to Saint Joseph Academy! If you have any real estate needs, please consider patronizing these supporters of our school, who are also beneficiaries of the education SJA has been providing for more than 25 years.
